I have been privately contracted to co-organise the next NIGERIAN RESTAURANT AWARDS IN LONDON which would look to involve majority of the Nigerian eateries in the UK under one roof.

During this event I would also look to introduce other initiatives that our Governments are sponsoring e.g Clean & Green Initiative and Rebrand Nigeria. ( Ideally every Nigeria restaurant, Shop, Business or any other outlet should have the beauty of Nigeria or their individual states displayed clearly on the walls like Pictures e.t.c . this is lacking and that's what I am pushing for

As a result I would also strongly encourage all delegates to market Nigeria in their restaurants in the best possible light not only through food served in their restaurants but also through everyday behaviour, positive information sharing about Nigeria, pictures of beautiful spots of Nigeria to be displayed in their restaurants in London, to encourage tourism, visits and holidays in Nigeria and also to embrace new ideas and recipes on how to serve, present and market our cuisine to non Nigerians.
Food is essential in life and anyone using such an avenue to market hard to sell information and policies most certainly has the undivided attention of any audience as there is never a second chance to make a first impression. (Get it right first) as people are particular about food and who cooks it or where they eat it.
Nigerian eateries in the UK are extremely busy and currently serve as the most effective outlets to properly market information on Nigeria as we wont get it from television or radio, so word of mouth is powerful and effective, leaflets, visual displays, Nigerian Newspapers and other easy to access Nigerian literature on display has also proven to be very informative.
REBRANDING NIGERIA STARTS FROM OUR IMMEDIATE BEHAVIOUR. WE OUGHT TO KNOW AND ACCEPT THAT WE ARE THE MOST BLESSED PEOPLE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH SO LETS USE IT.
