SPEB
State Primary Education Boards (SPEBs) had largely succeeded in ensuring that teachers' salaries are paid. Nevertheless, the fact that Education Secretaries are responsible to SPEBs, rather than to the local councils which appoint them, has also often resulted in tensions between the LGA and SPEBs, conflicting pressures on the Education Secretaries, and a perception on the part of the local government that they are not meaningfully involved in the management of the schools and in the resources made available for their areas. SPEBs have also taken over a number of roles (e.g. for supplies and maintenance) originally envisaged as the responsibility of Local Government.

SEMB
State Secondary Education Management Board. The duties are the payment of teachers salaries, promotion and recruitments of teachers. They also carry-out workshops and seminars for higher productivity and monitoring of examination carry out.

Nigeria Union Of Teachers. The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), a professional cum trade union organization of all teachers in pre-primary, primary and secondary schools and institutions in Nigeria.

PTA
Parent Teacher Association. Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a formal organization that consists of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a public or private school. the goal of all parent-teacher groups is to support their schools, encourage parent involvement, support teachers, and organize family events.

STUDENT BODIES  

NANS
National Association Of Nigeria Student. It is a National Body that comprises of the whole Universities in Nigeria.

SRC
Student Representative council. Here each department point out one person that will represent them in the school senate.

SUG
Student Union Government. It protects student rights and welfare in the universities.
