Plans have been concluded by the Imo State Government to build a housing estates in the state, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr. Chuma Nnaji, has disclosed, half of the estates, he said, would be for low and middle income.
Fielding questions from journalists yesterday (4th of Feb. 08) in Owerri, Nnaji noted that Governor Ikedi Godson Ohakim has approved the project, expected to take off soon.
Nnaji said that housing units are primarily for the low income earners, adding that the state government was committed to ensuring that workers owned houses. He added that the modalities for ownership would be made available to interested workers.
