“I’M AN APOSTLE OF INTER-MARRIAGE”,OHAKIM

It was indeed a day of inter-cultural wedding in the city of Lagos as Ifeanyi Iwuagwu took the hands of Orerhime Emerhor to the altar at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos and; Ogochukwu Agogbua also tied the nuptial knot with Olayemi Okupe. The marriage ceremonies were graced by the governor of Imo state, Chief Ikedi Ohakim.

At Our Saviour’s Church, the officiating priest, Rev. John Nriama, who remarked that God instituted marriage for companionship counseled the newly wedded to submit to the will of God. He prayed God to bless and prosper the couple.

Speaking to journalists after the church service, Governor Ohakim who described the wedding as the union of noble families said he came to witness the wedding of the daughter of his friend, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.
And at Muson Centre, venue of the wedding reception of the daughter of former Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Doyin Okupe, Olayemi and her heart throb, Ogochukwu, the guests were treated with live bands and sumptuous meal.

Governor Ohakim described the wedding as a handshake across the Niger which is ordained by God. He advised Ogochukwu to always love and care for his wife as they journey into married life.
