In a form of solidarity the State Government, Imo State branch of Progressive People Alliance (PPA) youth wing organize one million Man March as a sort of solidarity to the policies of the state Government which coincided with the state Government one year in office.

In his speech during the March which took place at the main bow, of Grasshoppers, handball stadium Owerri, the State PPA Chairman, Hon. Chief Okey Dike (Ikeoha) praised the courage of the youth wing of the party to organize such a March. He said that the party will continue to sensitive all its members and the public in order to make them be abreast of what happening politically.

Chief Okey Dike used the opportunity to praise all members of the party and promised them that very soon all the hardship in the party will be a thing of the past. He relayed the message from the governor who appreciated the efforts of all apartments, who he urged to keep it up without shacking.

The state chairman also used the opportunity to advise all the aspirants in the party to make sure that they sensitize their followers and organize meeting regularly in order to get themselves to the electorate so that whenever they win, everybody will know they won from the grassroots.

In his speech earlier, the state youth leader of the party the main organizers of the ceremony, Comrade Eddy Onyeocha praised the State Governor Chief (Sir) Ikedi Ohakim for his steadfastness and commitment for raising the standard of living of Imo people, despite various detractors, He Likened the governors administration to the biblical injunction which says when good men lead the people rejoices, that now the state has a capital that could be linked to decency and where means of decent transportation has been handled by the state government.

The highlight of the programme was the match past by all LG’s aspirants and party leaders from different LG’s pass the state Box where the party official were.
